Hey Guys, for all you wanting to get involved in our Wednesday kayak sessions, not long to wait now, as soon as the water temperature gets a bit warmer we'l be out there!
Keep checking back for more details to follow : )
On Friday the 9th our very own Cliff Meaden (the boss) crossed
the English Channel.
What a beautiful day he chose, wall to wall blue sky and flat
calm.
He set of from dungeoness at 6am with a safety boat and crew,
just incase!
Approximately 6 hours later Cliff arrived on the French coast
of Cap Gris-Nes .
He completed the epic journey in a Perception Essence, check
out the photos below.
Click the images below to view them larger:
Cliff had been waiting a month for the right
weather window,
that consists of high pressure sitting over England and giving
us light northerly winds, combined with neap tides offering
the ideal conditions.
Being one of the biggest shipping channels Cliff
came across several big tankers, a few unscheduled stops took
place to let them pass.
The wildlife did their bit to encourage Cliff on his voyage,
a seagull flew along with him for a few miles, a fish jumped
on to the kayak, offering himself as Cliff’s dinner
, and a baby porpoise surfaced off the bow.
Well done Cliff.
