DR.Boat Adhesive-Sealant is a composition based on polyurethane for the repair and sealing of punctures or cuts in inflatable paddle boards and other products made of PVC fabric or rubberized fabric without the use of patches.

AREAS OF APPLICATION. Repair and sealing of punctures and small cuts in inflatable products made of PVC, PU and rubberized fabrics. Does not require the use of patch or other overlaid elements. It is recommended for repair of inflatable boats, mattresses, water attractions, trampolines, swimming pools, as well as frame products made of PVC fabric (awnings, tents).

PROPERTIES. - Resistance to hydrolysis (water resistance) in salt and fresh water. - High strength and heat resistance. - Good plasticity, including at low temperatures.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PADDLE BOARD USE.

(All repairs once at the final stage, should be clamped or weighted for the first 5 to 7 hours)

Small Puncture Paddle Board Repair

- Clean dirt and dust with a swab dipped in a solvent to remove grease, the solvent will evaporate (this takes 3 - 10 minutes depending on the ambient temperature).

- Place tape around the damage (puncture or cut) - preferably at least 20 mm in each direction.

- Apply a layer of glue over the taped off area, this can be smoothed flat with a blunt edge (do not smooth to thin or leak will not seal, if this happens you can apply a second layer)

- After 5-7 hours you can remove the tape, Full strength comes in 24 hours.

Large Puncture Paddle Board Repair

- Clean dirt and dust with a swab dipped in a solvent to remove grease, the solvent will evaporate (this takes 3 - 10 minutes depending on the ambient temperature).

- Cut your PVC patch with at least 40mm in all direction wider than the damage.

- Mark the same area on your board and mark with pen

- Apply a thin layer of glue to both surfaces to be glued, wait 10-15 minutes

- Place the patch over the marked are on the board

- Heat the surface of the patch to a temperature of 55-65 degrees (for example, with a hair dryer) and firmly apply the patch, a roller or similar should be used to squeeze patch flat. (HOT Glue method)

Seam or deck pads lifts and Seam leaks

- Lifting of deck pads and seams (no air loss) can be fixed following either guidance above, although we have tried the second method to be the most affective, putting glue on both surfaces leaving for 10 to 15mins, using together with heat.

- Leaking seams, these can be harder to fix.

Option 1, if the area you are have found the bubbles coming out of is very small, you can use the Small Puncture instructions above.

Option 2, the same very small bubbles as above or slightly bigger, you can open the PVC bond up very carefully with heat and a blunt screwdriver opening up the seam a little more to push the glue in, you can then use the hot glue method to seal it.

Option 3, large seam leaks (not seam bursts), these can be troublesome to fix and there are repair devices that can help, but if your wish to take this on yourself, we would recommend combining all methods above, working through one stage at a time and testing, hopefully after stage 2 you will be ok, but starve 3 is there also.

1. Attempt to seam seams with Leaking Seams Option 1 or 2

2. If option 2 was used, used option 1 to increase the seam attempts

3. If that also fails, add a patch as in large puncture.

With each attempt re activate the glue with heat and push as much of the air out of the repair area as possible.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR GENERAL USE.

Repair of products made of Rubberized Fabric, PVC or PU fabric and PVC film.

Place around the damage (puncture or cut) - preferably at least 20 mm in each direction - clean from dirt and dust and wipe with a swab dipped in a solvent to remove grease. The solvent will evaporate (this takes 3 - 10 minutes depending on the ambient temperature). For large cuts longer than 3 cm must first be fastened, sewing the place cut with thread and needle. PVC film is not necessary to stitch. The place of damage must be fixed from the movement of the edges of the puncture or cut by any improvised means. Open the tube with glue-sealant and apply a thick layer to the damage site, grasping the areas 10 - 15 mm around the damage. After 15 - 30 minutes (depending on the ambient temperature), re-apply a thick layer of glue-sealant. After 5-7 hours you can remove the fixation and the product can be used. Full strength comes in 24 hours.
