Join us for a tranquil 15km paddle along the River Wey, enjoying the peaceful scenery and taking time to slow down on the water. Along the way we’ll soak up the surroundings and keep an eye out for local wildlife — including kingfishers and herons.
We’ll paddle to the atmospheric ruins of Newark Priory, a 12th-century Augustinian priory, famously dissolved by Henry VIII — a truly special spot to experience from the river.
There will also be the opportunity to stop off and warm up in a riverside pub, either on the way or on the return journey, making this a relaxed, sociable paddle with a perfect mix of history, nature and good company.
