Social Media Policy

1. Introduction

Social media is a term for websites based on user participation and user-generated content. They include social networking sites and other sites that are centered on user interaction. Social media can be categorized into six types: blogs, Wikipedia, Social Networks, Forums, Podcasts and content communities.

EpicLife respects the legal rights or employees and contract staff and by and large, what you do on your own time is your concern. However, actions in or outside of work that affect your work performance, the work of others, EpicLife’s interests are a suitable focus for our policy.

2. Scope

The lines between public and private, personal and professional are hazy in online social networks. This policy covers the responsibilities of employees and contract staff both inside and outside of work.

The policy includes social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Linkedin, TikTok, YouTube, Threads and blogs, whether on behalf of EpicLife or personally.

3. Policy Guidelines

A. Personal Use of Social Media

  • You may use social media on your own time but ensure it does not interfere with work responsibilities.

  • Clearly state that your opinions are your own. If you mention EpicLife use a disclaimer such as:

“The views expressed are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of EpicLife”

  • Do not use company logos, branding, or images without prior approval.
  • Be respectful and professional. Avoid posting anything that could harm the company’s reputation or be viewed as harassment, discrimination, or hate speech.

  • Think before you post. Online content is permanent and can be shared widely.
  • Use privacy settings to control your personal information but remember that nothing is truly private on the internet.
  • When in doubt, ask your manager or Managing Director.
