Intermediate Paddleboarding Sessions

Have you been stand-up paddleboarding for a while and want to improve your technique?
Would you like to paddle more efficiently, track straighter, and feel more confident paddling on one side?


Join us for a two-hour intermediate paddleboard session focused on developing strong, efficient forward paddling skills.


This session is ideal for paddlers who already have basic Paddleboard experience and are ready to take the next step in their progression.

During the session we will cover:

  • A detailed breakdown of the SUP forward paddling stroke
  • Paddling on one side while maintaining a straight line
  • Improving efficiency, balance, and reducing fatigue over longer paddles

Intermediate SUP Coaching Session – Step-Back Turn

This two-hour intermediate SUP coaching session focuses on developing balance, control, and board handling through effective use of the step-back turn.


The session is designed for paddlers with basic SUP experience who want to improve their manoeuvrability and confidence when turning, particularly in dynamic or confined environments.


Coaching focus areas include:

  • Correct foot placement and weight transfer for stability
  • Paddle positioning and blade use to support balance and initiate the turn
  • Timing and coordination of the step-back movement
  • Maintaining control and recovery during and after the turn

Coaching will be delivered through demonstrations, on-water practice, and individual feedback to help you perform the step-back turn smoothly and efficiently.

Intermediate SUP Coaching Session – Moving & Playing on the Board

Do you feel like your feet are glued to the board?
Are you unsure how or when to move around confidently?

This two-hour Intermediate SUP coaching session, is designed to help paddlers become comfortable moving around the board, developing balance, control, and confidence in a supportive coaching environment.
The session focuses on using the paddle as a support tool, helping you overcome hesitation and build trust in your balance through guided movement and playful skill development.
Session focus areas include:
• Safe and effective foot movement and stance changes
• Using the paddle for balance, support, and recovery
• Developing confidence through progressive challenges and games
• Improving balance and recovery when stability is compromised

This is a fun, practical session where falling in is part of the learning process. You will leave feeling more confident, capable, and comfortable moving your feet and controlling the board.
